As a transgender woman, I\u2019ve always thought that one of the main advantages of me transitioning is to be able to attract men easier. I was once ignorant and <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2020\/09\/whats-the-difference-between-gender-and-sex\">associated gender with sexual preference<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gender has NOTHING to do with PREFERENCE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">To elaborate better on <strong>trans lesbians<\/strong>, you first have to know that gender has nothing to do with one\u2019s sexual orientation. <strong>Gender is personal<\/strong>. The gender does not influence one\u2019s attraction at all. This goes the same way for transgender men who prefer to be with men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you address Transgender Lesbians?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">You address them as with the umbrella term <strong>WOMEN<\/strong>, period!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Not because they are <strong>dating someone feminine<\/strong> means that they\u2019re comfortable in assuming masculine names, pronouns, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do not use the words:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>he<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>him<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>his<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sir<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>monsieur<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>senior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>senorito, and more to pertain to her<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call her by her name and use the words:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>she<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>her<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>miss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mademoiselle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seniora<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>senorita, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Her womanhood <strong>cannot be<\/strong> <strong>reduced into a role<\/strong> and is not something that she\u2019s doing sporadically. A trans person is most likely dealing with <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/the-gender-dysphoria-guide-and-what-you-must-know\">gender dysphoria<\/a> so you have to be very sensitive with certain terminologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Again, <strong>a transgender lesbian is a WOMAN whether she\u2019s not <em>female at birth<\/em><\/strong> and she deserves to be treated and called as such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who do they date?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>Transgender lesbians<\/strong> may exclusively date cisgender women (women who were assigned at birth as female) or transgender women. This all boils down to the individual. She was statuesque, slender, and had a very feminine face. She happens to be my friend\u2019s friend who is visiting while my friend had her legs up in the sky from her gender reassignment surgery recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sandy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>This is Sandy<\/em>\u201d my friend Sofia said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Sandy, a Thai transgender woman who is as equally as beautiful as my immobile friend greeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>Hello! What\u2019s your name?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>Hi I\u2019m Caitlyn<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">(the name I was going by at that time and no, it wasn\u2019t because of how popular <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Caitlyn_Jenner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">caitlyn jenner<\/a><\/strong> is because I used that name back in 2008.) I shyly replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>You go to Shanghai?<\/em>\u201d she immediately continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I was <strong>in a catatonic state<\/strong> because what she was asking me was a double-edged sword and I cannot explain as to why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I smiled and shook my head from left to right and not long after\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>Sofia!<\/em>\u201d another woman greeted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">She looked fairly as beautiful as Sandy and Sofia. They were all svelte, tall and elegant and I was a chubby 18-year old transitioning transgender woman on a corner in awe of their beauty. I was mesmerized for minutes thinking how I\u2019d want to age faster so I could have the full effects of <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/what-is-transgender-hormone-replacement-therapy\/\">hormones<\/a> to be able to look like them up until\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>This is Mia, Sandy\u2019s girlfriend\u201d,<\/em> Sofia informed without a warning.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Wait what?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I was puzzled\u2026 wait, not just puzzled, <strong>I was mystified!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Not too long after, Mia planted a kiss on Sandy\u2019s lips right before she went out of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transgender lesbian or not, straight or not, love is love<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Love is indefinable as the clich\u00e9 goes. What I saw in that room was not an episode of confusion <strong>about <strong>sensual<\/strong> attraction or gender identity.<\/strong> From the way Mia held Sandy\u2019s waist as they both conversed with my friend Sofia to the kiss they shared before they parted ways, that was love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Some people think that a <strong>transgender person person is&nbsp; crazy<\/strong> for transitioning and then dating a person with the same gender identity. Some even go as far as to advise them to just revert their transition, the same people who think <strong>Lesbian and Gay transgenders<\/strong> are just going through a nonsensical hassle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"956\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2021\/06\/Transgender_lesbian_or_not_straight_or_not_love_is_love-edited.jpeg\" alt=\"women holding hands\" class=\"wp-image-3676\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2021\/06\/Transgender_lesbian_or_not_straight_or_not_love_is_love-edited.jpeg 956w, https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2021\/06\/Transgender_lesbian_or_not_straight_or_not_love_is_love-edited-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2021\/06\/Transgender_lesbian_or_not_straight_or_not_love_is_love-edited-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 956px) 100vw, 956px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Those are the people who tend to forget that we all have <strong>different genetic makeups<\/strong>, the same people who can\u2019t explain as to why they can\u2019t go out of the house without wearing their favorite bacon underwear or yellow necktie; the same people who are deathly allergic to shrimp but still eat it\u2026 you know\u2026 the same people who hate prejudice but keep on judging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>Lesbian and Gay transgender people<\/strong> should not be paradoxical, they exist and should be part of the norm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Love who you love and <strong>die without regrets<\/strong> because, at the end of the day, other people can\u2019t steal the pen from you and define what dating should be and most definitely <strong>should not write YOUR love story<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Respect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">If you still can\u2019t <strong>empathize with the situation<\/strong>, all you have to do is respect. I\u2019m very sure that as an individual, you also have <strong>some <em>questionable<\/em> preferences<\/strong>. Questionable in a sense that it does not go with the current status quo. Don\u2019t front by saying that you\u2019re the paragon of normalcy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Normalcy is so overrated. People should love who they choose to (as long as they\u2019re of legal age whether they\u2019re lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) without others trying to get into the mix.
